Yes. We try to make our service as convenient as possible, therefore we provide contactless pick-up and delivery service to all our service areas. We offer free pick-up and delivery in Ajax and Whitby. Transportation fees to other locations are based on pick-up/delivery address. Please contact us for details.
We service locations throughout Durham Region and the GTA, including Ajax, Whitby, Oshawa, Pickering, Scarborough, Courtice, and Bowmanville. If you don’t see your location listed here, please contact us and we will follow-up with you.
Both our car seat cleaning service and our stroller cleaning service offer deep cleaning and sanitizing of your baby gear. We only use products that are kid-safe, environmentally-friendly and safe for your baby gear. Here at Sparkles and Chuckles, we are committed to following strict guidelines in our car seat cleaning process to ensure that car seat safety features are not compromised.
STEP 1: MANUFACTURER CHECK – Before we clean your gear, we always review the product manufacturer’s guidelines for your specific model to ensure that we clean your baby gear in a way that maintains the integrity of the product.
STEP 2: DISASSEMBLY – We disassemble your car seat, where possible, to ensure we can get into all the crevices, nooks and crannies where harmful germs can hide.
STEP 3: VACUUMING – We thoroughly vacuum to remove dust, dirt, crumbs and other hidden debris.
STEP 4: DEEP CLEANING BY HAND – We wipe the frame and hand-wash the fabric. To preserve the car seat safety features, we never submerge straps/harnesses and buckles, and we never remove them from the car seat. These items are wiped with a damp cloth. At this stage, we also treat stains as needed.
STEP 5: SANITIZING – We sanitize by steam cleaning (where allowed by manufacturers) to get rid of harmful bacteria and viruses.
STEP 6: DRYING – We know your time is precious so we soak up excess moisture and lay cushions/fabric on a drying rack to air dry.
STEP 7: REASSEMBLY – We follow car seat manufacturer’s guidelines to properly reassemble your clean car seat.
It is recommended that you have regular stroller cleanings and car seat cleanings at least once every three months. Regular baby gear cleanings will reduce exposure to germs, bacteria and viruses, keeping your child healthy. You will also extend the life of your baby gear and maintain its safety and effectiveness; this will help keep your child safe.
Currently, we do not offer a same day service. Typically, appointments need to be made in advance and we have a turnaround time of 12 – 24 hours. However, we recognize that emergencies happen, so please give us a call if you have an emergency and we’ll let you know if we can accommodate.
